One last try before I start sticking stuff on ebay. Just listed stuff on LFGSS as well, cheaper prices for locals.
All of the below has less than 300 miles on it from brand new. Made a bling bike then was afraid to leave it anywhere. Did a few trips on dry days but in the end practicality won out and I couldn't bare to look at it sitting in my living room any more.
Suntour Superbe Pro Crank. 165mm, 144BCD has some light signs on wear (two lines near top of crank arm where shoes rubbed) but I challenge you to find one in better condition: £125
Matching Chainring. 51t: £30, £20 if bought with cranks.
Royce Titanium Bottom Bracket. 109mm ISO with fitting tools. One cup has some damage to one of the fitting holes but functions fine. Cups have a fair bit of scratching from rushed installation. Cups are standard threading. Come with stainless nuts: £70
Nitto SP72 Jaguar Seatpost. No marks above min insertion point. Main body of post has been hand polished rather than the normal anodized finish. 27.2mm. £50
Royce Hubs laced to Araya RC-540 Rims. 32h front and rear, laced with Sapin Single Butted spokes built by Willy Bain who was a Shimano mechanic at Olympics. Comes with lockring and Royce lockring tool: £340
I will split the hubs from the rims if there is interest: £35 a rim and £260 for the hubs.
EAI Superstar Cog - 18t £25 il take it im so lazy i havent moved off my chair for a couple of days wanna add on a couple of quid for postage promise il post random crap for the forum 2nd dibs on the chain ps are u selling the frame its amazing
Well, d14vd_h seems to have gone quiet on the hubs so undibbed. Also for sale are:
Fuji Track Frame 54cm, no paint but straight £40
Kona Smoke hybrid frame 18" with 2 700c wheels £30
Handsome Dog Trails fork, no brake bosses £35, £20 if bought with Fuji Frame
MKE Polo Guard 35t with 165 Sugino XD crank arms and BB (BB will need replaced soon) £40
Pair of System ex hubs, 36h in white, rear is double fixed, upgraded bearings. Run smooth £25 the pair
Single Open Pro CD rim, 36h £15 braking surface intact, will sell with above hubs attached to front hub and with spokes to fit a matching rear rim on the rear hub for £50
Elswick tiny 'shopper' (smaller than a standard 20" shopper, maybe for kids?) £10
I'm thinking about a new project. Can't decide if it will be single speed or not (probably will be, gears are tricky and 'spensive). Think it'd fit me?
yeah it's sloping top tube, there's quite a bit of room for adjustment, we are about the same height right? It would need a chain tensioner for Singlespeed but would make a pretty sturdy town bike. The rear wheel is a cassette type so you'd just need a singlespeed spacer kit, I think rusty is selling one.
And as it turns out some cranks and pedals and a V brake (which won't with with 700c wheel, would need a caliper, you can have the one off my polo bike too) The cranks are a bit shit.
cool, I am off weekends and after 6pm during the week, stay southside. I am working in maryhill mostly so could drop it off after work (after 1630) one day? Or before maybe 0730ish on gwr?
aye, i know its all off yer polo bike, but i can't remember any of it! Dibs on the Dirty Harry! you at home tomorrow after 4? i might nip over and have alook?
Dunno what my plans are tomorrow, depends if polo goes ahead innit. Maybe not exactly after 4, will text you tomorrow. Ben you got my current number? 07920866262
Also I don't get very good signal in my flat, might be worth facebooking or emailing me islipaway(at)gmail(dot)com but will try and go outside and check phone every now and then..
ok, discuss it with ya at next polo game... I'm gonna stay through in Ed after work on Thursday and play, if any of you come through I can give ya a lift back?
Yeah you can have it for free if you can pick it up! It's a U frame folding shopper, not tried to get it going, but shouldn't require more than a bit of fiddling. Oh and the Kona is sold Niall, sorry!
Cheers mate, that's grand. Folds as well, smashing. I do enjoy a fiddle. Anytime you are/aren't available? I'll be heading from Paisley back into the city centre tomorrow at some point so could probably swing by.
